Suitable for: Only those who hold the Pool Freediver certification can participate!
For those with a pool certification, we highly recommend practicing more in the water to refine your skills, especially if you're preparing for the entry-level open water course!
Once you become proficient in the techniques, upgrading will significantly boost your confidence and increase your course completion rate!

SSI Pool to Freediver Level 1 Upgrade
Whale Eyes' Pool courses include one free ocean training session.
For those who participate in the ocean training session, the upgrade fee is $4,500 ❗️
For those who do not participate in the ocean training session, the upgrade fee is $6,500 ❗️
⚠️ This upgrade is not a guaranteed class. You must meet the Freediver certification standards to receive the certification. ⚠️
🌟 Hengchun Area
- Whale Eyes Location: Search "Whale Eyes Freediving" on Google
- Duration: 1 day
- Class Size: Classes start with one participant
- Features: Flexible scheduling, but during long weekends, you need to coordinate with the instructor's available time.
🌟 Taipei Area
- Ocean Location: Zhaoming Palace
- Duration: 1 day
- Class Size: Classes start with two participants (schedule must align with the instructor)
🌟 Off-Island Areas (Liuqiu, Orchid Island, Green Island)
- Ocean Location: Dependent on location and sea conditions
- Duration: 1 day
- Class Size: Classes start with three participants (schedule must align with the instructor)
❗️ Taichung Diving Cube cannot be used as an open water site for the ocean session. ❗️
Course Schedule
Day 1
Ocean training, the dive time will be based on wave conditions.
- Ocean Sessions (1 or 2): Approximately 1.5-4 hours
⚠️ The above fees include:
SSI International Certification, skills assessment, instructor fee, sea area insurance during the course, and GoPro recording.
⚠️ Cetacea does not cover transportation or meals; they are the participant's responsibility.
