🐋 Whale Freediving – Performance Freediver Course (formerly L3)

🌟 Course Fee & Info

  • Fee: NT$22,000 per person
    (Includes course insurance, pool admission, and certification fee)

  • Class Size: One person to open a class (private instruction available)

  • Bonus: One complimentary boat dive included
    (If not using boat dive, NT$1,000 cash discount available)


🌊 Course Content

This is a high-level course with customized scheduling.
The following is a standard course structure for reference:

  • 1 Academic Theory Session

  • Dry training integrated throughout the course

  • 2 Pool Sessions (approx. 3.5–4 hours total)

  • 5 Open Water Sessions (approx. 8.5–9 hours total)

⚠️ Open water sessions are not conducted at DiveCube, except for make-up sessions.
In case of bad weather or poor sea conditions, sessions will be rescheduled.


✅ Skill Requirements & Assessments

Essential Techniques (to be demonstrated by course end):

  1. Mouthfill equalization

  2. Guided static breath-holding

  3. Stretching techniques


Final Assessments:

  • 100% correct on the online theory exam

Pool Requirements:

  1. Static apnea: 3 minutes 30 seconds

  2. Dynamic apnea: 75 meters

  3. DYN blackout rescue

  4. 25-meter surface towing (BO rescue)

Depth Requirements:

  1. Constant weight dive to 30–40m using mouthfill + freefall

  2. 20-meter blackout rescue

  3. 20-meter rope-assisted rescue

This is a customizable high-level course.
Below is a suggested timeline for reference:

Recommended Duration: 2 + 2 + 3 days or 2 + 5 days


🏊 Pool Training

  • Day 1 (PM): Academic theory

  • Day 2: Pool sessions


🌊 Open Water Training

Meeting Time: 9:00 AM

Morning:

  • Stretching & guided visualization

  • Daily dive briefing & skill focus review

Afternoon:

  • Dry training

  • Video review & feedback

Evening:

  • Equalization technique refinement

  • Open Q&A session


⚠️ Important Notes

  1. This is not a guaranteed pass course. Per SSI policy, all requirements must be completed and submitted within 1 year.
    If not completed within the time frame, a NT$3,000 certification reissue fee will apply.

  2. Make-up session fees:

    • Depth (Open water): NT$2,500 per session

    • Pool: NT$2,000 per session
      (Includes insurance and instructor fee only)
