【Course Duration: 4–6 Days】

The course schedule will be arranged and adjusted according to the training environment, course progress, and each student's ability and experience.


【Course Components】

For those who aspire to become an Underwater Dance Instructor, this course provides comprehensive professional training.

Starting with land-based movement exploration, you will develop a deeper understanding of dance concepts before bringing those movements underwater.

By combining dance with the water environment, you will learn how to integrate technique, body control, and core movement into underwater dance.

【Assessment Requirements & Standards】

Water Treading: 15 minutes

Swimming: 700 meters / 20 minutes

Dynamic Apnea: 25 meters

No-Fins Rescue:

Movement Workshop

Candidates must independently complete:

Theory Teaching Demonstration

3 teaching demonstrations, selecting topics from basic and advanced subjects

Practical Teaching Demonstration

3 teaching demonstrations, selecting topics from basic and advanced subjects

Underwater Skills Demonstration

Skill Workshop performance must reach demonstration-level standards

Independent Choreography

Complete and present an original underwater choreography

Professional Evaluation

Assessment of professional attitude, communication, teaching approach, and overall performance


❗️Important Notes❗️

The Underwater Dance Instructor Course is not a guaranteed-pass course.

Any assessments that are not successfully completed must be retaken within six months from the final course session. If more than six months have passed, the candidate will be required to repeat all instructor assessments.

If a student voluntarily withdraws from the course, no refund will be provided.

However, if a student becomes medically unfit to participate in diving activities and provides a doctor's certificate confirming this, the remaining training fee will be refunded after deducting costs that have already been incurred.

The Instructor Course fee does not include equipment used during the course, transportation, accommodation, private venue bookings for filming, or any other additional expenses.

After completion of the Instructor Course, the dive center will submit the SSI certification application within two weeks.

If a candidate does not meet the required certification standards, the Training Instructor will discuss the required additional training, reassessment items, and associated fees with the candidate.

If the course is held at Cetacea Freediving in Hengchun, students will receive special Instructor Course rates for accommodation and equipment rental at the Cetacea center.

(These special rates are only applicable at Cetacea's Hengchun location and do not apply at other locations.)

After registration is completed, a 50% deposit is required.
SSI online course materials will be issued before the course begins. Once the materials have been issued, the full deposit is non-refundable.


【Reassessment Fees】

In-Water Reassessment
1 session / approximately 1.5–2 hours: $2,500/person
(Venue fees are charged separately.)

Indoor / Theory Reassessment
1 session / approximately 1.5 hours: $2,500/person
(Venue fees are charged separately.)

If the Training Instructor needs to travel to another location for a reassessment, the candidate must additionally cover the instructor's accommodation, transportation, and other related expenses.
